The Mammoth Scenic Loop offers numerous opportunities to access snow and quality downhill sledding terrain in the open, old-growth Jeffrey pine forest not far from Hwy 203. There's no developed sledding area but everything out here is fair game. Park in one of the dedicated pull-out parking areas along the east side of the road. Pick a slope that matches your daring, forge an uptrack, and let 'er rip!
