Emerald Lake - Skelton Lake Trail 1.2 mi

  • From the parking area at the far end of the Coldwater Campground, head up the Coldwater-George Trail approximately 1 mile until you reach the left fork leading to Emerald Lake. At this junction, the Emerald Lake - Skelton Lake Trail proper enters the Ansel Adams Wilderness for its duration. Loop back around to Coldwater by way of Skelton Lake and the Duck Pass Trail, or, for a bigger loop, cut across the basin to the northwest on the Coldwater-George Trail.
